Description

When a person comes home, they feel comfortable and secure, safe and protected. It is cozy, the house, and sturdily built so that it is ready for guests and protects against storms. The rules of fairness and human manners apply here. But who has taken up residence in the room at the back? What are those small cracks in the wall? Has someone put a gun there? Did we just hear someone say that someone is causing a disturbance? Are we talking about "too many" people? Why does something now only feel cozy when it's exclusive? Something in the house doesn't seem quite right. Or does it? Who has what opinion here and who do I live with? If at first it seems as if external forces are acting on the house, a closer look reveals this: The residents are to blame for the shift in forces and values that (could) shake and brake the house. For his next play, Philipp Löhle will take a closer look at the forces that - in some cases for decades - have led to a shift in democratic values and a drift to the right.
