"Bubbling around the Torbiere – How to immerse in an ecosystem"
Everything is linked.... fostering invertebrates, micromammals, herpetofauna and ichthyofauna will
benefit the rich bird diversity of the NatureReserve. The goal of these 3 pavilions is to find a way to
introduce the human glance into all these busy lives while offering additional habitats or breeding
occasions for fauna and flora.
The edges, the complex interface between 2 ecosystems, are often synonymous with greater
biodiversity. Our pavilions recreate edges between 2 worlds: between water and land, between
wooded and open areas.
The idea is to go beyond sole birdwatching and to interest the average visitor in what happens
underwater, in the sky and on land.
All pavilions have been designed to have a minimal impact on the site. With the exception of
Pavilion 1, which has direct access to the road, all the elements are modular, easily movable, and do
not require major earthworks.
"Bubble" your way through the NatureReserve, withdraw yourself from other people in one of the
observation bubbles along the path, hear the sounds of nature through big sonotones, have a view
on the full wide bog-landscape from the tower at the East-entrance, look in the air for birds, look
underwater for aquatic life, observe dragonflies on the rim of the pavilions and look in the trees, at
the soil and stone wall for invertebrates, micromammals, herpetofauna
